  • Fresh Paint Just Over a month old - Can I Use?

I have a corvette that was just freshly painted about a month ago. Would it be safe to use the Meguiars Ultimate Polish compound on it? Will it help bring out a stronger shine???

    Yep, you'll be fine.

UP will definitely bring out the shine, but it won't be strong enough to remove any swirls or buffer trails left behind by the body shop (if any).

Seeing as it's been a month, you should also wax after polishing. They say you should wait at least 30 days before applying a wax / sealant..

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I read that to be perfectly safe, one has to wait 90 days to wax a newly painted surface. There are many factors which impact the "degas" process.

I will wait at least 60 days.
