  • Swirls

Hey ive recently bought my first decent car... Its a 2010 model so a couple years old and has some light swirls, only noticable in direct sunlight on the right angles...

Anyway so i washed it the other day, clayed, cleaner wax and then gold class carauba waxed it
I want to try a mild swirl remover but because its been waxed so recently what steps should i follow. Should i start pretty much from from the start and wash, cleaner wax then swirl remover and then carnauba again?

You need to start over. Wash. Then get rid of the swirls. SwirlX will take care of them. Or, if they're not that bad, Ultimate Polish might remove them. At this point, I wouldn't worry about cleaner wax. Just hit it with wax - carnuba is fine; I prefer Ultimate Paste.

Must agree. Wash, then SwirlX and UP Wax.

But check for surface contaminants after you wash and dry the car (fingers or as another member said, use a plastic baggie wrapped around your fingers). It you feel roughness, bumps or stickiness, time to clay again.

Then use the SwirlX afterwards, then wax.

        Questions-
        • is this your Daily Driver?
        • How many km/mo?
        • Kept outdoors/garaged?
        • Color (light/dark)?
        • What are you looking for in terms of results (Show finish, generally nice looking, protection)?

Yeah, SwilX by hand will likely be a waste in my opinion....
