  • Removing airbrush art with clear over it

I bought a 1992 HD FXR that the previous owner had some painted airbrush added to in Sturgis back in '93.

There is a snake on the front fender and a snake painted on top of the logo on either side of the tank. Here's a pic of the tank:

It looks like the snake on the tank has been cleared over. I know HD clears over their stickers so my question is can I wet sand down a layer and remove the stupid airbrush without damaging the factory graphics?

What's the best way to get the airbrush off?

blowing the picture up it looks like the harley decal was applied over top of the airbrushwork. your best bet would be to strip and repaint. you can try to sand it out,but its gonna be a huge hassle. a lot easer to just strip an repaint. or live with it as repaint can get pricey.
