  • Can ColorX be used instead of Ultimate Polish

Planning to UC my car with Ultimate Compound and follow up with Ultimate Polish and a wax. I remember how awful it was to try to remove Ultimate Polish the last time I tried it, so am wondering will ColorX will have the similar polishing effect as UP? Even though ColorX has wax, I would stil lfollow up with wax. Thanks.
Sorry if I asked this in the past, but couldn't find any of my posts on it.

    Yep... you should be fine.
I tend to think ColorX has bit more cut than UP tho.... but not by much.

I agree with these guys. I have used colorx and topped it off with M21. I didn't let colorx haze. I used it for it's cleaning properties. I find ultimate polish easy to remove. Sometimes if it is laid down to thick or if it dries on the paint then yes it can be hard to remove. It should be easier to remove if you are going to use the DA power system.

Yes, I might try the UP with the DA System. You might have a point, and perhaps it was harder to take off when applied by hand. Maybe I put it on too thick.
Whatever the case, thanks folks, for your replies.

If UP is drying on you... then either the climate is really really dry where you are or you are working a too big of an area and/or for too long.

How abbout a test spot. One with UC/ColorX and then one with UC/UP. See which one gives you better results. That would be something to post photos of.

Work UP into the area you are working on and remove. No need to let it dry on the paint.
