  • My new purchase

I just ordered a Dual Action Polisher from Autogeek. I figured as long as I was in the buying mood I also bought Swirlx, a pack of Supreme Shine Micro Fiber Towels and a Micro Fiber water magnet towel. Now all I need is some warmer weather. I always waited to wax until the temp was 60 degrees.

Great! I bet you can't wait to try it out.

What will you be working on and what condition is it in?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I will be working on my sons saturn first. After wash, Clay, SwirlX to remove some of the we swirl marks, then ultimate polish, then Ultimate paste. Swirlx, polish and wax applied by the polisher. After that I will use some UP then UW on my Traverse. Looks like I will have a busy spring!

SwirlX & UP are similar products, so not usually used consecutively. You would use either one or the other. I would suggest UP.

They are both pretty mild though, so may not remove the defects adequately, in which case you'd use UC followed by UP, then wax.

I thought Swirlx was a little more aggressive than the polish?

You're right, it is. But they're still pretty similar.

UP and Swirlx are both polishes. UP has more polishing oils but you could use either one. Try a test spot with both to see which gives you a better finish.
