You could go with the harbor freigh DA. With the 20% or 25% coupon online you can get it for about $50. It just needs a better backing plate. Then you can get the pads.

Looking at those photos I would say UC on a foam cutting pad would be my choice. Then follow up with UP and your favorite wax. In that lighting I do see some swirls so it may be a good idea to UC and UP the entire car to clean the paint.

Thanks again guys. I'm getting ready to order up my meguiars DA, some claybar, UC, UP, UW, as well as an assortment of pads and microfiber cloths (amazon seems to be the cheapest place). I have always kept my vehicles "washed and waxed," but this is the nicest vehicle that i personally have ever owned for a daily driver, and I want to keep it that way, so I'm going to take it a step further. I appreciate all the help!

....Theotherpc - it just doesn't look like your typical swirl or hologram. You can almost tell where the buffer was laid against the surface and held, and it's hazy around the outside of these areas. Not like what I'm used to wich is sort of
"lines" from a buffer....

Lines come from dragging the buffer along the finish. As you said, if the buffer is just laid in one spot you'd get circles. But the effect is the same, microscopic scratches.

You could try UP or UC by hand on a very small area, like 3"x3" first. if that works you're pretty much guaranteed the DA will work.

Wow those do seem like well priced kits. The walmart one almost seems
to good to true... The same thing as the amazon one, but including glass
cleaner, for almost $25 cheaper? I'm just hoping they aren't "trial sized" bottles or something haha

They are regular sized bottles. You can't go wrong with either kit. I was going to buy the walmart kit but I already have everything .

Wow, what a deal. I wish the timing had been a little different, I just ordered everything yesterday, and this deal was sold by the time I got to it anyway. I really appreciate the heads up though, someone got a sweet deal!
