  • Detailing Withdraw

I hate to say this but I'm going through "detailing withdraw". Here in the NE detailing a car outside after October is impossible. I haven't detailed my vehicle since mid October. It was raining today and it washed a good deal of salt off the car but it's still not clean. It may not get to 60 degrees until the end of April. I don't have any access to detailing indoors.

I'm in Los Angeles and had to wait till now [just after 4pm.] to wash the car because it was 77 degrees and sunny all day:p

We r even brave enuf to go out In the 1st place.

Haha.. Really though it must be tough for you guys in that kind of weather. You guys deserve alot of credit for sticking though the winter.

I rinseless washed my G8 GT over lunch today. It was 33*, sunny and breezy. It took me 25 minutes.

Pardon the iPhone pic; it was after sunset.

Hard to believe on Monday that parking lot was 8" deep in snow.

It is a real pain but its worth it when it's shining. I was stationd out in California for a year and the weather was perfect everyday and night. I would love to move out there again and if I could I would.

My withdrawl is so bad i had to go into rehab. I have 3 garage queens that never touch wet pavement. Needless to say they dont get out much during winter. I find myself cleaning already clean cars in the garage. Someone help me!

                    2001 corvette blk show car
                    2010 camaro LT2

they are rarely driven during winter. I dust them at least once a week and do a waterless wash when needed. Best way to keep cars clean is dont ever drive them.

Nice rides. I wish I had space in the garage for just 1 car. I'd do the exact same thing.

I know what you mean. I live south of pittsburgh and it's been hard trying to detail our vehicles. I can't wait to start applying some wax and polishes.

Nope, if I remember correctly it was Adam's Rinseless Wash.

I usually park in the garage overnight unless I'm first out in the AM.

Good point. They look like showroom display models if you keep them garaged.

                              Living In Cold Weather.

I feel all you who have to deal with cold weather. I use to live in Northern New Jersey owning a Mobile Detailing business for 15 years and I hated to have to close shop during the winter months. Don't miss that any more now that my wife and I own a very successful Detailing business here in Maui Hawaii. Other then January & February being some what rainy season, no complaints.
