  • D151 for RV pad type?

I am looking for some insight into using 151 for my RV and 151 seems pretty simple. I'm not looking for the best possible outcome, mostly because I take all over the place and it gets dirty. It sits outside and so one. At least with 151 I can do it more frequently...anyhow, what would you all suggest? It's only 2 years old, one side has some minor fading and some black streaks. Thanks

Meguiar's has several products for projects like yours: D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream, M66 Quick Detailer, M06 Cleaner Wax and M20 Polymer Sealant (from most to least aggressive). The choice would be based on level of correction you need.

If some level of correction is needed then go with a polishing pad. A finishing pad would give you maximum gloss boost.

D151 is extremely universal: you could use it with either wool or foam cutting pad, polishing pad or finishing pad. It works with rotary buffers and D/A polishers. It can even be used twice: first step with more aggressive pad and follow up with less aggressive pad.

D151 is fine for correction and sealant
But for maintenance I would just use Quick Wax/D156

You don't need to do that much work. Once you've corrected it and are happy then wax every 6 months is all you'll need.

Well not all RVs are equal. you didn't tell us if it's fiberglass or aluminum sides. Is it fullbody paint? is it clearcoated over gelcoat or not? Depending on what surface type you are working on will dictate what products will work best.

Sorry for the lack of info, non metal siding and painted / cleared. It's only a 2011 but one side has a we it more sun damage. I tried using rejex awhile back and it hazed / dulled a section. I stripped it, cleaned Claude polished and waxed. Turned out decent, guys that own heartland trailers swear by the 151
