Re: aluminum rims stained!!!! NOOB IN NEED OF HELP!!
to MOL orc!
Remember orc, Always use the least aggressive product to get the job done!!!
Have you got the Meguiars DynaCone? These can be saved they don't look that bad! Just don't apply or do something to aggressive! And have you got any M105 Ultra cut Compound?
If not you can go and pick some up at a auto zone(some don't carry it in the detail section go over to the painting supplies)
If you have to ask 50 question please do so, the last thing we want is for you to hurt the finish on your rims, we will help you as much as you need. And remember the only dumb question is the one you didn't ask!
Here's a great link Michael Stoops done,
These are bare aluminum rims right?

Re: aluminum rims stained!!!! NOOB IN NEED OF HELP!!
Nope, there not bare aluminum and are clear coat?
Well to save you alittle money just get some Ultimate Compound, it's just not as aggresive! and you can apply more applications if it starts working, remember always try less aggressive, that means pressure to when you first start out rather with your hand or machine. But on these rims I would start by hand, rub alittle polish on making several passes then wipe of with a soft clean micri fiber towel(and save these just for your rims, I keep my towels and everything seperated in plastic totes with seal lids and have them labeled for use) and check your procress.
If that didn't do anything try another application, do your wipe down and check procress. If any to no progress step up to the next aggressive metal polish(just for your type of rims!!!) or give the Ultimate Compound a try, remember same technique!!! light pressure-several passes then wipe and check. You can also start applying more pressure if your not instilling scratches and if your making head way.
Also try the Dyna Cone out, BUT REMEMBER EVERYTHING IS LESS AGGRESSIVE FIRST> SPEED/PRESSURE AND ABOUT OF TIME!
And post up some pics! Before / during and afters. It can help you as well as others.
Going out to garage so I'll take my laptop and will get back on here in a little bit, hopefully that will start to work or will step up to other things. Also forgot to mention start in a area that is note as noticable say like in the barrel of rim if the stains are there also. We'll help you fiqure this out!''USE THE LEAST AGGRESSIVE PRODUCT TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT''
