Like gclark said that's about it. That's what I did with my stang when I'd go to get it out, just let your car duster skim over the surface lightly and then spray a detailer on and wipe with micro-fiber.

Have any pics of your two ford tuff vehicles?

I go over my car that sits in the garage all the time with either QD or if its real heavy some rinseless wash.

I still haven't quit figured out how to add pics. But like u I've always had the same problem and always thought that a quick wax and quick detailer were exclusively for the show car circuit. So when I washed my car the next day I thought there had to b a better way than having to wash it again and so that's when I discovered ultimate quick detailer. Meguiars products definitely made detailing easier and more enjoyable because of their products.

TO ADD A PIC, when editing a post. Press the little icon with a the framed pic of a tree and then paste the web address into it and POOF:

FOR example if you website address in the navigation bar to the pic was http://www.pbase.com/image/111721796/original.jpg and you pasted it into the framed tree the following would display:

Quick Detailer or Waterless Wash....depends on how dusty. I also own a California Car Duster, but don't use it much anymore.

The typical light dust you get from having a car sitting in your garage for any length of time is exactly the kind of thing that quick detail sprays were developed for. One of my cars at home is driven only a few thousand miles a year, so it spends most of its time in the garage. It may go several weeks without being driven, and in that time it will pick up a very noticeable coating of dust. I've never had an issue cleaning it off with Ultimate Quik Detailer, M135, etc. You don't really want to use a spray wax in this situation though as those don't offer the lubricity you want, and need, to safely remove that dust. Stick with a quick detailer to remove light dust and fingerprints, and use the spray wax immediately after washing the car (even during the drying process) to add a bit of extra slickness, protection and gloss.
