  • What do you guys think? Video

I haven't had the time to make an actual detailing video. So I just made one of me Detailing while at work out all the pictures I accumulated in the past month.

I put names and thanks to you guys in the end of the video

Wow, so many images, so little time.... Thought I was at risk of having a seizure at one point.... lol

Maybe just a little too fast for my eyes but the concept is solid!

Maybe I should have put a disclaimer. (Not responsible for any seizures)

      And thank you

Nice, it does look more like a collision repair shop, but great results. And it does give many viewers a clearer picture about detailing and how much work goes into making poorly maintained and not so good looking paint look good. It does have a lot of pictures, and you see the before, during and after pics..

Thanks guys, it's a auto body, collision repair shop. I'm the detailer there. Actually they call me the buffer. Body shops for the most part name the guys who sand and buff repainted cars "buffers" and the Detailer is the guy who takes over after the buffer buffs the car out. To wash and clean the vehicle for delivery.

I actually called Meguiar's on Friday to ask a question that the managers wanted to know. Then Nick says, "Is this Art?" lol I thought that was pretty funny. I included it in the shout outs at the end of the video. btw

If your car goes through all this and seeing the work the shops do, maybe worrying about a few swirls isn't so bad. The car that I am vacuuming actually flipped over, they installed a new roof to the car and I had to vacuum A LOT of small pieces of glass that broke during the collision.

My cousin (the other detailer in the videos, Precision Detailing, we just made that name joking around lol, because he put his face so close the the buffer joking around) I'm the one wearing the 3M apron. Well he said that someone died in that accident. I then asked the manager and the manager said "nooo..." and my cousin was just laughing, but yeah thank god nobody died in the crash.
          Thanks for watching guys,

          Art

I recently started taking pictures about a month ago. So those pictures are just a month's worth. I tried to capture as you suggested the before, during and after pictures, but given the fact that I have to be working and not taking pictures. Those were all the ones I was able to get. I sanded and buff out a lot more cars during that time. The managers won't mind a few pictures here and there as long as I am producing the work in the timely manner.

            Side Note:
I took my Rupes 21, with a blue wool hybrid pad, and Menzerna FG400 and M205. Man what a great combo! It was very easily able to remove 1500 grit sanding marks.

I know it's not designed for DA's but I am going to try 3M rubbing compound on my Rupes and the wool Hybrid pad, to remove 1500 or even 3000, just for kicks.

Looks like you guys move the cars in and out quick, nice work there. What sander were you guys using a PS4512 or PS4612, their awesome sanders aren't they?
