Advantage and disadvantage of IronX

Hi.
What is advantage and disadvantage of using IronX? I read in Mike Phillips book that it should be use before claying. Always, once? Any experience?

On white and silver paint which are notorious for orange spec iron particles it will dissolve these particles and make claying easier. Check this link out

Thanks. Good article. I was thinking to use it also for my black Alfa before claying. There are no orange spots, but maybe iron contaminants are not visible on darker colors.

The smell is pretty bad but it does work as advertised.

There is always the lemon scent version. I have not heard how the smell is.

Do you just spray and rinse? Or is it like a wash where it needs agitated?

Spray on, let it work its magic for 4-5 min, then lightly agitate, let sit one more minute.... then THOROUGHLY rinse off

Is there much of a difference in the Iron x for vehicles and the "Iron out" you can get from Lowes? I have a bottle of super iron out that I have used on small rust stains in the shower. And was wondering if it can be used in the same way?

I would be hesitant to use something that is not intended for car paint.
