  • I Detailed my Dodge and did an Opti Coat, what do you guys think?

I washed, clayed, compounded, polished, jeweled, I then washed the car with Optimum Car Soap and some Meguiar's APC+. Followed by 2 IPA wipe downs at 15%. I did all this from bumper to bumper, roof to rocker moldings. I used my new Rupes 21 with Meguiar's M105 and M205. 13+ hours later and 2 days I finally finished.

    Happy Thanksgiving everybody,

Not sure if it is against MOL forum rules. However, the AutoGeek Online members helped me through. Thanks AGO member friends!

Here is the thread from the start through finish of the Dodge coating detail.

Looks nice. FWIW, rather than pay AG $15 for the honor of having their fancy BF sticker, just pick up one of those sprayers at Home Depot for $6.87.

It really pays to shop around for these "high end" detailing products.

That's one of the cleanest Stratus Coupes we've ever seen! The paint was a mess when you started, that's for sure, but the car looks great now. Nice work!

Thank you Chicago Tommy. I actually went to HomeDepot a few months back (well I was there yesterday too, for a washer for the KB wash method )

Well I went to home depot to look for a pressure sprayer and I couldn't find one. However, I'll go back to get one when I do need one.

Thank you the car was trashed when I first got it. Little by little I have been restoring it. I have some more questions, i'll ask you when I head to Meguair's again. I've actually been checking to see when the next classes are. I really want to attend the advanced class and TNOG was a great time.

The car was like this all around before I got my hands on it.

I'm actually thinking about taking off the spoiler to correct under that as well. I'll ask my body shop family to help me out with the removing part. Oh, I am working at the body shop right now

Oh how I noticed our Detailing styles and their body shop styles are different lol

But thanks again Mike, I'll see you when Meguiar's has classes again.
