  • D114 & Keeping Wax

    Hey all-
I apologize if this has been posted before, http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...waterless+wash, but I did not see specifically where it said D114 is safe on wax/will not strip wax. It is getting cold up here in the Northeast and I can't use the outdoor hose during the winter. I am looking to invest in a bottle of D114. Also I will be using it on Black Paint. Thanks all.

Or what is the safest/best Waterless Wash to keep the wax intact?

Great investment. At recommended dilutions (256 and 128:1) it's fine on your wax.

I also got some D156 express spray wax for in between waxes this winter (similar to Ult Quik Wax). The wind chill tonight is a real b!+!#.

Best of luck to all of us here in the NE this winter.

              Re: D114 & Keeping Wax

At strong dilution ratios (like 15:1 and stronger) D114 will strip wax, but at the recommended ratios it's totally safe. If you're looking for a waterless wash to use during the winter months and are concerned about having some protection on the paint, you should probably use D115 Rinse Free Express Wash & Wax instead. At dilution ratios of 4:1 or 8:1 it does an outstanding job of cleaning (either as a waterless or rinseless wash) and it leaves some very nice polymer wax protection on the finish. Super easy to use, wipes off streak free, and is crazy slick.

Thanks all, I didn't see D115 at AutoGeek, am I overlooking it?
