  • Detailing 10 Compass, Glaze Under Sealant

I am looking to clean up my wife's 10 Compass. It's red in color, 57,000 thousand miles, paint is in pretty decent condition. This would only be the second car I have ever touched, and I have washed, clayed, sealed, and waxed my new 13 ram 1500. I currently have Gold Class Shampoo, Clay Bar Kit, M21 Sealant, and Carnuaba Gold Class Wax. Can I do all of the above to the Jeep as well? I'd like to add a little extra to it, thinking of getting M7 and putting it under M21 to get a nicer shiner? Will that work? Also Do i need any cleaner besides the Gold Class Wash and Clay?

    Thank you!

You could use a compound and/or polish if you are looking at removing any defects in the paint. If not the m7 will help hide done defects but isn't a needed step unless you want to.

I would be doing this all by hand, what products specifcally should I use?
      Thanks

If you want something over the counter that works really well look into getting ultimate compound and ultimate polish. Then you can follow up with M21 or a M21 followed by Gold Class. Of course this is after washing and claying.

I would rather see a polish step (Ultimate Polish) before M21 than the carnauba after M21. If it's one or the other, go Polish!

I use M26 carnauba over M21 except in winter I just use M21. But I'm going to test that out after winter. I now find it takes a couple days to get the final excellence of M21 to show it's true self on my black car, so I have to test (on a single panel, like a back door) what the M26 reveals after waiting long enough for both to cure to their max.

I like M7 for a bunch of reasons, but it's getting hard to find lately. Ultimate Polish will help you remove some minor defects, so you should use that at least once on each vehicle.
