  • Do Carbanuba Waxes last longer in the Winter??

Last time I used a Carbanuba was in the middle of summer and it lasted for about 2 weeks.

I applied a Carbanuba wax in the Fall and I find the wax properties are still there.

    Just curious..?

My understanding is that the biggest enemy to Carnauba is heat so it would make sense to me that it will last longer in the colder weathers.

I always think that synthetic wax lasts longer than carnauba wax.

Dump the nuba for the winter and go with Megs UPW or ULW for the winter and maintain with D156.

I hate to throw out product. A bottle of wax seems to last for years even though I apply wax to friends and relatives cars I have Collinite and Gold Plus wax. Nice waxes by the way, but my favorite is Ultimate Liquid Wax.

MD meant stay synthetic during the winter, not throw the nuba in the garabage.

It really depends on how cold your winter is.
For some members living in the South, they never see snow.
Carnauba Waxes do last longer in Winter.
In summer, they see a lot of rain and extreme heat, so wax degrade real quick!

Of course, if your place is cold enough to snow, then definitely the road salt, chemicals and dirt will kill a wax quickly.

I didn't mean to literally throw it out, just not use it for winter protection. A sealant is better.
