Basically, wax (any wax/sealant) should be applied real thin, so thin that it's barely visible. There's no real way to measure how much wax to use, it's a moving target. You adjust as you go, sometimes as you go along, you'll notice that even if you apply a certain amount of wax only intended for 1 panel, you'll be surprised that you'll actually still be able to wax another 1-1.5 panels.

Of course I prefer to use as little as possible but am not sure how to guage that. I can't really tell when wax is being applied at times is probably what my issue is. as little as possible! If there's wax coming off of the pad onto the paint your fine. people use way too much product. the car I did I probably use about a quarter ounce for the whole thing barely saw any wax on the car when I wiped it offLeave a comment:

How Much Liquid Wax To Use?
I have a six inch random orbital buffer and either use too much liquid wax or sometimes too little. I can't seem to guage how much to use per panel or per whatever. Yes I already perused a plethera of waxing videos here and on YouTube.
I have been using the liquid wax that comes with the Meguiar's Clay Kit. I just don't know how to ascertain when it is time to add more wax to the pad. Or if there is a general rule about how much to use per square foot of panel then that would work also. Thanks!
