I got hooked on Ultimate Wash & Wax Anywhere. It was going to be my gameplan for winter washing since I don't have a garage. Unfortunately, all major stores no longer carry it in my area and it's too much of an inconvenience to order it online (and more expensive that the stores were charging), since it only lasts a couple of washes (I have a full size truck). Can anyone suggest an alternative?
I was looking at Blackfire Wet Diamond Waterless Wash, but I use ULW and not sure if the polymers will play nice. UWWA was perfect between major washes (Meg's Wash and Wax) and ULW applications......

I use Megs D114 Rinse Free Express Wash (128:1). I haven't tried D115 Rinse Free Express Wash and Wax, which is it's nearest equivalent of Megs, and much less expensive. It's concentrate, so you have to mix with water and you can spray bottle the D115 RFEWW (4:1). You have to order online but you get a bigger supply at one shot.

I use a 3.5 gal bucket with a gamma seal lid and throw MF towels in there so it's always ready to go.

I have found UWWA here in NJ at Advance Auto Parts. You can also order for store delivery if locally out of stock and there is no shipping charge.

The numbers:
RFEWW gal jug equals more than 19 bottles of UWWA:

RFEWW 128oz jug x 4 (4:1 dilution) = 512oz

UWWA 26oz bottle x 19 bottles = 494oz

Thanks. I tried to order from advance but when you get to the final stages of checking out, it says 0 quantity available and won't let me purchase it. So with RFEWW, I can use this as a "waterless" instead of a "rinseless"? I want a waterless product so I can wash anywhere.

Waterless is kind of a misnomer. What that really means (I believe) is there is no rinse req'd, and you don't need a bucket of water outside your car, you spray it on. Your basically making UWWA yourself.

Keep it in a spray bottle after a 4:1 dilution with water.

My math was bad, I multiplied by 4 instead of 5. That's even better though...

If you have a quick detailer, you can achieve the same thing as UWWA. Just spray like you would with UWWA and wipe with clean microfiber towel one panel at a time. Then apply your Ultimate Quik Wax. Same thing but just in two steps. Either way is dangerous for the finish if the car is really dirty in my opinion. I personally would leave the car dirty, and wait till winter is over then do a proper wash with pressure washer and foam cannon.

Months of on and off salt and other junk they throw on the roads is not a good thing to leave on a car for months before washing. QD's are not the same as a Rinse Free wash.

I too love UWWA and usually by it at Walmart. Just wait till one of the many online detail retailers has a sale and by it in bulk. ADS has it RFEWWA for 54.99 and 6.95 shipping.

I've narrowed it down to RFEWW (assuming that I can use it in a spray bottle just like I used UWWA) or poor boys waterless wash, followed by UQW. I'm not fond of the latter, bc I wash my car every few days whenever I can find a few minutes and this will take longer.

The RFEWW has wax in it. You don't need the UQW immediately after it. Just apply a full wax at your normal interval or when needed.

Definitely go with D115 Rinse Free Express Wash & Wax. Killer, killer stuff. Here's what I do at home: I saved an empty 1 gallon bottle of drinking water and I mix a 4:1 dilution of D115 & water in it just for ease of dilution. I started by adding 100oz of water using a measuring cup (several times, of course!) and then marking that point on the bottle with a Sharpie. I then added 25oz of D115 and marked that point. Shake to mix, and pour into the pump sprayer for use. Most of these pump sprayers hold a quart, so with the gallon jug I've got the equivalent of 4 spray bottles prepped for use. When I'm out, it's a simple matter of filling the bottle with water to the first line, then topping off with D115 and shake to mix.

With the sprayer set to a fairly broad pattern I'll just spray an area and wipe appropriately to clean, basically using D115 exactly as one would use UWWA.

As for using QD spray as an alternative, those are really only good for removal of light dust. QD sprays do not contain the emulsifiers and encapsulation technology of a proper waterless or rinseless wash. That's what sets those products above being merely "glorified quick detailers" and safe to use as designed, even on surprisingly heavy road grime.

Thanks guys! I didn't realize D115 was a concentrated version of UWWA. Problem solved!
I read that you can dilute up to 20:1 for D115. Why wouldn't everyone do that to make the product last longer? I'm thinking dilution levels would be based on "dirtyness" of the vehicle- 4:1 for a filthy, road salted vehicle and 20:1 if the car was driven in the rain and some dirty water dried on the vehicle? Is my logic valid?

The directions I've seen indicate 4:1 for typical spray bottle use. There is a "pro tip" also shown that says "dilute up to 20:1 for use in direct sunlight".

The more you dilute, the less wax you are going to get. I suppose you can dilute up to 20:1 for use in a QD function.

I watched a video demo with Mike Phillips and Meg's of D114 and D115. D114 in strong concentrations was said to be used to "strip" paint of all protectants/silicone/etc. Will D115 essentially be doing the same but leaving behind its own wax in a 4:1 dilution?
