Here it is. I haven't found a comparison for these products. I am looking for a product that can do it all for tires, trim, rubber, engine compartment. Initially it was going to just be D163 vs Ultimate Protectant/Black. However, I have been using my natural shine on engine compartment as well as exterior trims and it works just fine at only $5.00/bottle. I understand Ultimate Protectant/black and Natural shine can also be used for the interior which makes it extremely versatile. But I don't think Ultimate Protectant/black has a big difference over Natural Shine. I am looking for Protection and Satin Finish. I'm assuming for plastics and trims UV protection is what I need. Does D163 have this protection?

Re: Meguiars D163 vs. Ultimate Protectant/Black vs Natural Shine
you can't have just one protectant for all the rubber and plastic on a car.
Natural Shine is a water based product and is designed for the interior of a car and has no lasting abilities on the outside.
Tires. You need a product that won't sling, will protect and resist road grime.
Myself? I use Hyper dressing on tires and engine compartments. 2:1 mix, most detailers use 4:1 mix
Trim: M40 and trim shine.
I usually don't dress an interior but if the customer asks then I use Nat. Shine

Re: Meguiars D163 vs. Ultimate Protectant/Black vs Natural Shine
I have D163, ultimate protectant and D45. I use ultimate protectant on primarily on my interior. I have not tried using it on the exterior trim. I have only used D163 on my tires. It works well and has decent durability. One coat gives a satin finish and two coats adds a little more gloss. D163 is thick so if you plan to use it on the exterior trim you won't need a lot. I use D45 on the exterior cowl buy the hood and certain spots on the window trim. It works well and is quick to use. I have not had a chance to use it in the engine bay as I need a new can. It darkens the plastic but it leaves an OEM appearance.
D45

The reason I mention natural shine is because, It works well on a lot of cars out here where I need to shine exterior trim. It lasts as long as I intend to last which is about 3 weeks without washing in good weather. Of course i'm speaking about the shine.

Re: Meguiars D163 vs. Ultimate Protectant/Black vs Natural Shine
The ultimate protectant I used on my interior has gone for 2 months and still looks good. I have not tried it on the exterior. But I would assume it should last just a little bit longer than natural shine. I'm a fan of D163. I'm sure it has UV protection. I see about a months durability as it starts to fade within that time frame before reapplying.
One thing about ultimate protectant is you can knock the shine down by going over it with a MF towel to remove any excess product.
