What product so you use to deodorize your interior?
Do you use household products or car-specific deodorizers?

Megs Odor Eliminator works well. Spray a bit into the AC vents.

I used different sprays. Right now I use febreze for autos. Also this may sound crazy but I like a vehicle to smell good all the time, so I bought one of those Renzuits and put it in the rear cup holder in my car. Now it smells like pine all the time.

          it depends on the odor.
What are you trying to do exactly?

First you'll need to clean and wipe all of the surfaces. Then you treat the odors remaining.
But you must clean the surface first.
For smoke I use an Ozone Generator. You can rent one at your local Janitorial Supply House
You can spray an OE in there every day for about a month and that should get rid of the smell too.

I do wipe the interior periodically with some household cleaner and apply UP and Rich Leather Cleaner and Conditioner. The interior looks great but unfortunately, it smells!

I am waiting for the new product (Air Re-Fresher Odor Eliminator).

Yes this will work but will take some time and multiple applications.

                  It's your car right?
When I smoked I would keep all the window up except for mine. I would open it up about 1/4 an inch and turn on the air WITH THE Re-circulate off so I'd create positive pressure with the outside air blowing in the car.
This pushes out all the smoke out the window and my cars never smelled.

If your opening up all your windows as you drive your allowing the smoke to "roam" around and it puts ash everywhere.

And if you use your ash tray you need to keep it empty daily.

This is what I do but I do not turn on the AC (and no recir) . I usually open my window maybe 2-inches down. I do see the smoke going out the window. Not sure if 1/4 inch and 2-inch makes a difference.
Also, I roll down all my windows when I park my car in my garage overnight.

I do similar but utilize the vent setting on my moon roof. You can feel the air sucking right out the roof. Car does not smell like smoke.

Then it sound like you have "light" smoke smell so an OE should work after a few applications.
Please use the "new" stuff and let us know how it works in your car.

I will certainly try the new stuff together with OE.
I am not sure if the positive pressure method works in city driving. In frequent stops, the smoke would go inside the cabin.

You can buy "Little Trees" in Wally Mart, any fragrance you can think of. I get the leather version, to enhance my leather interiors. Must admit I find the little trees look stupid (IMHO) hanging from the rear view, so I just toss it under my seat.

it doesn't matter if the car is moving or not.
The cabin is "sealed shut" except for the window and the air is coming in through the vents to add fresh air in and blow anything out the cracked window.
