  • Jeep Aluminum Wheels

My Jeep Wrangler wheels are painted on the outside but are bare aluminum on the inside. They are getting really discolored and probably corroding on the inside. Any suggestions on how to clean and protect the inside? The paint on the outside still looks good.

the best wheel cleaners out there are Sonax full effect or 1z colourtec imo.

once cleaned, hit the with a coating. id use optic oat myself.

Bare aluminum needs to be polished on a regular basis. This is why Manufactures started painting them with clear coat.
So if you not going to paint them you have to polish them regularly.

I clean the inside of my alloy wheels with Purple Power and a wheel brush. I like to clean them at oil change time, when I rotate the wheels. Then, I wash the front of the wheels with car soap and a black MF Mitt. I follow that up with a cleaner wax, and top with Megs Gold Class Carnauba Plus+ Quick Wax after every wash.
