  • Which wax on grabber blue gt500?

I've got a car show Saturday and I'm wondering which wax would be best for a deep wet look?
    GC carnauba plus or #26

You'll always hear that the choice of wax is your personal preference. I personally love the Gold Class for the price, and you are using it for its best job, short term beauty. You can't go wrong with either! I believe it was Mike Phillips that said, "Find what you like and use it often." Great motto! Have fun at the show!

There is a post on autogeek where Mike Phillips said that M26 was the only wax he has experienced that actually increases distinction of image.
Not sure if its the same with GC Plus tho.

If its such a quick trip, you could use NXT 2.0 on the car before hand, then, once there, clean it up real good and apply another coat of NXT. IMO its

Yeah for the effort, worry more about clay, and a nice cleaner/polish first... If you are doing that already, then you can play with different waxes if you feel like it.

I have a grabber blue 10 GT500 and like others have said clay and polish will make the biggest difference. A sealant will give a glassy look on GB and a wax a warm glow. If you want dripping wet go with a glaze. If you want to use GC or 26 do a small test spot and see which one you like better.

Mines a 10 also. I also have #7 glaze. Do you apply by hand or machine? How long do leave on the glaze and how long before applying wax? Tks

I use a machine, but you can apply by hand too. When I first got my 10 I did 205, then #7, then 26. Came out nice.

I applied #7 to entire car then removed, then 26 let it dry to a haze and remove. Watch all the black plastic trim, don't want to stain it.

Did you use a polishing pad to apply the glaze?

Nope. Finishing pad for glaze and wax.

                      Finish.....

Clay bar, #80, #21 sealant.... excellent finish! You could use the yellow pad, then black pad..... apply #21 with black only.
