  • My first full detailing

Hi Guys! After all your help i did full detail of my car last weekend, Clay, polish and wax-all Megs products. Clay, UP, ULW and not enough time for carnauba topping maybe next weekend.[IMG] that you think of my job? Do i need 2nd coat of ULW for better protection or one coat would be enough? Or is good option to use UQW for second coat?

Looks good to me. I would probably do another coat of UW and not even top it with carnauba. Then I would use UQW as a monthly maintenance.

The more often you use the UQW/GCSW type of products, the more they become like an actual coat of wax.... So not sure of your schedule, but if washing weekly and UQW after, probably doesnt matter. If not as often, a second coat of proper wax wouldnt hurt.

A 2nd coat would be good to guarantee equal coverage and to certain extent, add a small amount of protection, as for carnauba, personally, I like the bright, crisp reflections of synthetic sealants and Ultimate will outlast meguiars carnauba (deep crystal or gold class carnauba+). Just as important of even more important is the maintenance in between wax jobs or washing. UQD/UQW combo is fantastic, used regularly, it's a sure way to keep that just waxed look and protection going.

Looking good! Did you do all this by hand or with a buffer?

We're inclined to agree with this. UQW could end up being your best friend, especially through the winter months.

Firstly i started with wash-UWW, then i used Meg's clay kit, UP with Porter-Cable 7424XP and white Lake country foam pad, then ULW with PC7424XP and grey pad and buffed with MF towels, i planned to use MS pad but didn't have right size-need to by 5,5" and buffing by hand was very easy and fast, just like on training video, apply thin layer of wax, wait 5 min and buff off even by hand-very easy. After reading this posts i planning to put another layer of ULW next weekend if weather permitted, if not will use UQW then
