Customer had a fence painted and painter got overspray on the scooters' vinyl seat. What are some solutions I could have used clean this seat? I used thinner in a small area. It worked but was removing the black and the blue color on the seat. Please advise.

Re: Paint over spray on vinyl seat
First off, we've moved this question to its own thread as it was originally included in a discussion on DA buffers.
We can certainly see where a paint thinner would cause issues for the vinyl surface so obviously that option is out. You might want to try claying a small area; clay is usually the go to for removing overspray from paint, and while we don't normally recommend claying vinyl trim, it may actually work in this situation given the size of the surface, actual material, etc. A quick detail spray lubricant won't hurt the vinyl at all so no worries there. This is also going to be less invasive than trying to scrub the vinyl with a towel and a dedicated vinyl cleaner, especially if the material is older or not of the highest quality. This process can be quite aggressive and could also remove color from the surface if overdone. We'd definitely give clay a shot first.Michael Stoops
