  • Winter Wax Storage

I recently moved into a house and like many of you, I lined up my Meguiars products on a shelf in the garage.

The garage is not heated so the sub-zero temperature is certainly no good for the waxes. Do our guys move them inside the house at some point? Do u leave anything in the garage, like UQW, UQD, glass cleaner, etc?

    Re: Winter Wax Storage

I've always kept all of my chemicals in Rubbermaid containers in either my walk in closet or the basement. Doing this extends their useful life plus I don't have to worry about large mammals (the 6 foot 200 lb type) absconding with them. When I need them in the garage they go in a Thule car bag for easy transport.

It is always a sad day when all of my detailing products have to come inside for the winter.

It is a sad day when all the detailing goodies have to go inside for the winter. I keep most of mine in the garage for the summer then move them to their dedicated shelf in the basement for the winter.

I bring my wax and liquid detailing products inside when it gets in the 40's (*F) outside. I leave my invisible glass in the garage and one bottle in each vehicle year round.

I never move any of them. In Oklahoma it usually never gets real cold. My garage is insulated so that helps too. Never noticed anything different with the products

In the basement with the rest of the items. They are all on a shelving unit.

I guess that's one advantage of living where I do - average winter minimum temperature is +-40F, so no reason to relocate the detailing supplies.
