  • CQUARTZ problem

I applied cquartz sealer to my hood and roof today. Roof came out great, but hood has faint streaks. No picture because they don't show up. What did I do wrong and how can I fix it?

    Re: CQUARTZ problem

What you are describing are High spots[areas that had a higher concentration of product].

When you apply a coating you want to do it SUUUUUUUPER thin..... you should be able to see it faintly on the surface of the paint, but it shouldnt look "wet".... it appears more like glass cleaner when have some on a towel and you wipe dry glass.. it leaves a slight streak and dries [flashes off]

afteryou applied it and it was flashing did you go over it with a microfiber cloth to remove the high spots ?

Ideally you want to go over the entire section with a MF cloth 2-3 times, GENTLY, removing these high spots. * * * N OT E * * * you need to wipe within 10 min of application, because after that it begins the curing process

      Re: CQUARTZ problem

Followed the instructions provided. Applied thin amount in one direction. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes and wiped down with microfiber. Like I said, the roof looks great.

      Is there a fix?

Now when you say buff off, you can't mean by hand; it is too hard. Do you mean with my Meguiars DA and a microfiber pad?
