  • Can this paint be saved or is it to far gone?

I have tried a few meguiar's products applied by hand, and it will look somewhat good till I wash the car again. This is what it looked like after I just washed it.

If my eyes dont lie i see some cc failure, that means it has to be repainted.

can't really tell what's going on there.
You need to get some reflection shots of the sun off the paint and close ups.

          Yeah, looks like CCF.

What Megs products have you tried? Are your pads / cloths turning red?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I have used ultimate compound, ultimate polish and ultimate liquid wax. I was not getting any red paint on my pads or cloths.
This is a pic of the roof with the sun almost right over it.

Yeah, that pic looks more like CC failure.

I had a feeling it was that. I got the car cheap because the PO said it needed a new paint job. I had hopped it was fixable since it would look ok after using compound, polish and wax.

You fellows are far more professional than me, but when I had CC failure it looked like the car had, had a bad sunburn, had blisters, and it was pealing. It was actually flaking off.
My eyes see just a badly abused clear coat in the photo. Maybe a guy with a DA , good products, skill, could easily make this look better. Remember he said he was working by hand.
