  • Faded hood, bubbles on bumper, peeling on trunk.

    Hello,

I'm new to this forum and have a couple things I'd like to solve with my cars paintjob. I've used Meguiar's products before and I must say they are my favorite. I use the gold glass car wash shampoo and conditioner and have used the clay kit and the tech wax 2.0 about 3 times. Now to the problems

1st is the hood is faded. It's been losing its shine for about a year and a half now and all that's left of shine is the part closest to the grill.
This is what it looks like :

2nd issue is the trunk. The last picture shows the paint peeling off.

Last issue is the front bumper. This bumper was replaced and repainted after some dude in a van took the bumper with him getting out of a parking lot . That was about a year ago and now the paint on the bumper is starting to get bubbles.

You guys have any suggestions as to how i can fix at least the hood?

I can't see your pics - link appears to be broken.

...But from what you're describing, it doesn't sound good...

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

You can wax that mess up, not much improvement should be expected.
            You really need a repaint.

To be honest, that was the result after waxing. When it first started waxing restored the clear coat but the 2nd time wasn't as great and the last time made it look like what you see now. Guess I have to repaint.
Any places of recommendation in miami?

That paint is in serious distress and the clear is starting to break up - while an aggressive application of a compound with a quality buffer can make a big difference in appearance, that improvement is going to be fleeting since the clear has basically failed beyond repaint. Unfortunately, the only real fix here is to strip it and repaint the car.
