Re: Road trips!
- Give it a good clay and wax before you go
- Take some QD and/or waterless wash with you
- Take plenty of MF towels
- Drive real slowly over the dirt roads
- Take HER car! (if possible)
- Good luck!Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Re: Road trips!
Nice coat of wax especially on the front bumper and the side view mirrors as most likely you will get hammered with bugs on your drive there. Drive slow on the dirt roads to avoid rock chips as much as possible.
Once there, liberal use of QD or waterless wash just on the affected areas to take care of the bugs to avoid any kind of etching. After this, enjoy your time with your s.o. and forget about the car. You can take care of your car once you get back. A good pressure wash will be in order once you are back home.2012 Acura CBP TL SH-AWD Tech
