The results of my first attempt (with pics)

I've never really put much effort into my cars finish before, probably because i always bought used cars and didn't realize you could make them look good again. Last saturday we purchased our first band new car and i decided this was the one i was going to put effort into. following the great advice of the people on this forum i was able to purchase quality products and the results were even better than i anticipated. i did a wash with CG wash, then used the megs clay kit with quick detailer to clay the whole car. i was surprised how much grit a brand new car with only 70 miles had on it. after the clay i applied the ultimate paste wax. here was the results-

I was going to say where are the before pics but I guess it wasn't that bad?
Looks good now just keep it up and it will look like that forever.

Yup, very common. They just sit on the lot with no protection and dirt will bond to that paint quite quickly. It also doesn't help that most lots are on high traffic roads with cars stirring up all kinds of contaminants that land on those unprotected new cars. Then they usually do a quick wash on them every day. Result = lots of contaminants and/or DISO

thanks, yeah not much to show for the before. it was very gritty, but couldn't really get a pick of that

to make matters even worse this dealership has the road in front of it all dug up with construction going on. i'm sure that added to the problem too.

Nice and clean. Take a pic of the clay bar where you got the dirt off!!
