  • UQD or UWAW after gold class wax layer

So I've added a layer of gold class on top of some ULW to give it that look. I'm just wondering what may happen if I wash with UWAW or maintain with UQD. Or even re coat with some uqw?

No real issues. It will still extend the protection, gloss and slickness. The chemistry is within the meguiars family, Ultimate wax is a pure polymer wax, Gold Class is Carnauba with some polymers, Ultimate wash and wax has synthetic and carnauba in it, so no real issue. It's a good practice, go for it. The worse that can happen is that the UQD, UQW won't bond properly to the paint.

Well one is a detail spray and the other is a wash. use the Detailer for light dust and the wash to actually wash your car.
And when you so call top you remove some of the wax you previously put on.
Topping is waste of time and money.
Pick one wax put it on and leave it alone.

Are u saying when u apply QD you are little by little wearing off your wax coat? Does using a QW reduce that impact? I have a garage kept escalade that I am a freak about keeping clean. The lower panels behind the wheels require frequent touch up due to a very light road/tire grime. So using an effective product that best protects my polish/wax is important to me. Thoughts? I have using QD thus far in between washes

Anything that is dragged across the waxed surface can remove or wear off the wax, but with quick detailers and proper usage, this is minimized. And besides, there are many factors aside from the friction or drag that can dramatically shorten the wax protection, it is a better compromise to QD the dust off rather than allow it to accumulate which in the long run will also shorten the wax layer's durability. Using QD in between washes is recommended, even too much carwashes can shorten a wax's life. To extend your wax protection, regular washes are recommended (depending on how dirty the environment is) and spray wax after every wash will dramatically lengthen the wax's durability

QD is for removing light garage dust (for example). Do not use it on road/tire grime, you can scratch up your car.

Look into Wash and Wax Anywhere, or Rinse Free Express Wash or Rinse Free Wash and Wax. They have the lubricants to prevent road junk from scratching.
