I have 2 very different needs/questions.
1. A recently (> 90 days) painted classic; looking for a recommendation on a pure carnuba. Any great differences between the product lines?
2. I've never really detailed my own cars; but have time/desire to start doing that now. Starting with my daughters 7 year old Civic. Fairly rough; scratches, paint "smears" from doors of other cars, etc... Realize this won't look new; but better than starting with my newer vehicles! I'll be using an orbital polisher.
I have some Megs #2 that I've used in the past for some scratch repairs and have been very pleased with that. Is this too abrasive to do the entire vehicle (I will first hit it with clay)? If not; what recommendations to follow that with before waxing? And lastly, what wax to use? As her car rarely gets washed let alone properly cared for; looking for a synthetic finish to last a little longer.
so:
Is #2 too aggressive to start?
followup polish (i.e. #7 or swirl remover?)
Good long lasting wax (is #26 a synthetic)?
Sorry, but looking at autoparts stores, there is a significant number of Megs products...and difficult for me to determine between the product lines what is the same/similar/etc...
Thanks in advance for any advice!
