  • Oxidized Toyota Camry.. What type of products should I use?

    07 Camry White

I believe Toyota still uses single stage paint on their solid color vehicles. The finish has become chalky. I have a DA with #80 and #83. I've read online that #7 works well with single stage paints. What product should I use to restore the finish? I'm currently using Ultimate and NXT 2.0 on my other vehicles for the top coat.

I noticed that white wax is not available. Would that help remove the oxidation? I believe it is a 3 stage system.

Are you also trying to remove swirls / water spots / other defects?

If so, the M80 and/or M83 should do the job nicely. Followed by your favourite wax.

If you're just looking at moisturising the paint, a couple of coats of M7 would do the job, followed by your favourite wax.

M80 & M83 are quite rich in oils too, so I'd probably just go with those..

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I'm mostly just trying to remove heavy oxidation.

            M80 / M83 followed by wax.

            M7 optional in between.

Given single stage, I'm a fan of a vigorous rub in of #7 before any compounding/polishing steps. Let it sit overnight, buff off in the morning, then proceed with the correction methods of choice.
