I'd like to hear what everyone does when trying to polish around emblems and in areas the polisher can't access - feel free to direct me to other threads if this has been covered - thanks

Re: What do you do when the polisher can't reach it?
I use a 4in. pad for tight areas.
Anything that the 4in. can't access, I do by hand with either a foam applicator pad, or a MF towel, depending on the situation.Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Same compounds would probably work.
Not the same pads as a DA though - use hand foam applicator pads.Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. Yeah, I know...but the mini polisher actually has a functional pad with a bit of cut. I use it with D300 or M205 (I tossed the bottle of scratch remover)
I use my DA. put it on 1 get the edge of the pad in the emblem as much as possible to get product in there and polish what I can with the machine. Then when I wipe after polishing I get my MFT into the crevice and I use a detailing stick, just a plastic thin stick.
This works fine but there not perfect but I'm not getting paid to perfect emblems.
After waxing they look great and I've never had a complaint.

So the mini polisher is battery powered? Does it actually have any correcting ability? How long do the batteries last?Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me.
