Advice for the use of different Wash Set !!

Hello Everyone,

I've bought some of Meguiars product in the last days:

>>Meguiars 110 Year Set<<
-Soft Wash Gel - Shampoo
-Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
-Deep Crystal Polish
-Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax


-Meguiars Ultimate Compound
-Meguiars G17748EU Ultimate Wash & Wax Autoshampoo
-Meguiars Quik Detailer
-Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay


Since my car has many mini scratches and swirl marks, I want to do a deep polish.
That's also why I bought the Ultimate Compund.
And why the set? Because it was not expensive.


The question is, which combination: Washing + Polish + Wax should I use?

I don't know if I should use the products by the following steps:
1) Soft Wash Gel - Shampoo (or is Meguiars G17748EU Ultimate Wash & Wax Autoshampoo better? <--- I don't know if it works, because it has Wax effect)
? ----> 1.1) Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
2) Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay + Meguiars Quik Detailer
3) Meguiars Ultimate Compound
? ----> 3.1) Deep Crystal Polish
4) Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax




This is for 1 per year Wash Set.


Which Set should I do for every 3 months? And also simple wash?


I wanted to use only the Meguiars G17748EU Ultimate Wash & Wax Autoshampoo for the simple Washing. Is it enought? Or should I wax it after too?



Please if it's possible to give me an answer like this example:

1. Wash - No sense in using the wash and wax if just going to remove it right away when detailing.
2. Clay
3. Clean - UC - Keep in mind that fixing swirls by hand is rough... so you may do a panel or so a day, or every so often, or something like that.
4. Polish - DC Polish
5. Wax - DC Wax
6. Wax - 2 thin coats is best.

Which Set should I do for every 3 months? And also simple wash?

You would likely find better results, and possibly cheaper, if you went with a regular soap like the Gold Class, Soft Wash, etc, and then used one of the spray waxes like Ult. Spray Wax while drying.

Hopefully could do something like that (wash + spray wax) every week or two.

And then you would just get a feel for how the water flows off the paint when washing, how the spray wax spreads, how it looks, and just judge from that when to do another detail.

Please if it's possible to give me an answer like this example:

Well, something like this:

Week or two:
1. Wash
2. Spray Wax while drying

Quick Detail:
1. Wash
2. Clay if needed
3. Cleaner/Wax, ColorX, White Wax, etc
4. Wax

Longer Detail:
1. Wash
2. Clay if needed
3. Clean - DC Cleaner for mild, UC for a stronger cleaner. (Also can look at Ult. Polish in the future perhaps, or if you can exchange the DC Cleaner and DC Polish)
4. Polish - DC Polish
5. Wax
6. Wax

Well first off WELCOME TO MOL!!!!

I think your over thinking it.
keep it simple or it will drive you crazy.

Basically there isn't a set order of product use.
Wash, clay, compound/polish (as needed), wax.

The products you use depend on what your working on but really it's what you like.
You have to try out different products to see what works and your preferences.

At the beginning I didn't really know what the Cleaner was for.

I think for the simply Wash, I will just use the Ultimate Wash & Wax Autoshampoo and I will buy a Wax Spray. So I don't have to buy a new shampoo and waste the Ultimate Wash & Wax Autoshampoo.
Ultimate Wash & Wax Autoshampoo + Wax Spray. So I will have 2x Wax. Would it be ok?

Well, there are different ones, so want to match them up to what you are working on, and goals are, etc. And asking here should be able to clarify things before buying when unsure.

Yeah, they will work together. Can use a spray wax after either soap that you have, then decide on what to buy in the future when re-stocking.
