Right now I am using a non silicone based tire shine. If I wanted to go back to use Mequiars Hot Shine do I need to do some prep work on the tire to remove the non silicone based stuff first? Or can I just spray the hot Shine on the tire as normal. Sorry for such a basic question. It I really don't want to ruin the tries

Having a clean tire is usually best for any tire shine, to have it look good and not sling, etc.

Something like APC is common for cleaning tires.
