Is it ok to use Megs Final Inspection after Sealant?
Re: Is it ok to use Megs Final Inspection after Sealant?
That's the proper order, carnauba over sealant.
Applying carnauba wax over a sealant is a personal preference thing. Carnaubas are usually added to add an element of warmth, depth or wetness, especially on dark to warm colors. Many like the look of carnauba due because it gives a shine that some sealant simply can't match but durability is its disadvantage. Sealants usually give a bright, reflective, crisp shine but not much depth.
But these days, sealants come close to the shine that carnauba waxes can give.
See for yourself, take a panel, divide it into 2 sections. Compare the Sealant only side to the Carnauba wax on sealant side, if the difference is significant enough for you, then go ahead and apply the carnauba. If not, maybe it's not worth the extra time and effort, and maybe you're better off with just the sealant.
