  • Which products?

I finally decided to buy a PC, but I need to pick some pretty versatile products to use with it. Would # 83 and #80 be a good choice? I will only be detailing my cars, so I don’t need a wide variety of products. I am just getting tired of seeing swirl marks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

#83 and #80 would be excellent choices. #83 can be a little finicky with at PC, but once you get the hang of it, your will be fine. #80 works extremely well with a PC.

      Thanks....

Any other products in the professional line that are worth buying (for a weekend detailer).

I'm buying the PC 7336 from Lowes. Is this kit the only one I need, or should I buy more pads?

I'm planning, so far, to buy 80 and 83. I also was going to apply NXT with the 9006 finishing pad that is included with the backing plate kit. I'm trying to make only one order from Meguiars, so I want to get my product list right the first time.
Any product recommendations for first time PC user?????

        Thanks

Get the backing plate kit from Meguiars that includes 3 pads, that will be all you need to go with the PC buffer. Also you'll need some microfiber towels to wipe off the polish as you go (don't let it dry on as it's hard to remove at that point). As for polish, I like the #83 and it seems to work on all my cars, just one or two friends cars where I need something stronger. The #80 is good on cars with softer finishes or minor swirls. What I was told that the difference between #80 and #83 was that the on #80 the grit particles wear down quicker. Also, some people like the microfiber bonnet that you put on a clean pad to remove the wax. I prefer doing it by hand but some prefer letting the machine do it.

Buellwinkle touched on it, I think the Ultimate Bonnet is well worth it. It adds a little more pop to the finish as well as making wax removal VERY quick and easy.

For pure polishes I like #81 works very well.

Other have posted above but I have had good luck with my first use of #80.
