  • Pinnacle Souveran over Nxt wax

    Hi,

Is there any advantage to be gained by topping Nxt tech wax with Pinnacle Souveran. I have read so many good reports about Souveran that I am tempted to try. Am I wasting my time and money or would Nxt and Souveran be a "killer combo".

    Many thanks

    Hi Davy

    I havent tried Pinnacle.

But I have topped NXT with P21S (similar to Pinnacle i hear). Yes it looked good but not sure if it was a vast improvement. I also tried topping with Zymol Titanium, again looked good but probably IMO not really worth the effort. Give it a try though and let us know what you think.

    Best of luck

It depends on the look you want. Souveran will make an improvement on dark colours.
Have you tried #16? Best bang for the buck topper over NXT.

I'm probably in the minority, but I didn't think it looked as good as either product does alone; instead of strengths being reinforced, I felt that the products subtracted from each other, as if they were 180* out of synch.

I use one, or the other. Honestly I don't use the Souveran much at all any more. At one time the incremental benefit (possibly self-induced) was worth it to me, but now I don't think so any more.

If you want to keep the NXT look, #16 is your best choice. It compliments NXT very well. On the other hand, if you want the protection of NXT and the look of Souveran over it, that option also looks pretty good but you will lose a little bit of the super crisp NXT look.

Thanks Scott, that's exactly what I meant, but couldn't find the words for. You don't have the great clean NXT look, and you don't have the soft, pillowy Souveran look; you have something in the middle that's not as good as either alone.
