  • M105- foam vs wool

I have used M105 on several occasions with a foam cutting pad, but never with the wool pad. Just wondering how it compares. I have heard that the meguiars double sided wool pad with 105 cuts better than the burgundy foam cutting pad with 105; although, I have also heard the foam pad produces more heat which I would think would have Te ability for better corrections. Hoping for some input from somebody who has tried both.

    TIA

I have both and i use foam on flat surfaces and wool on shaped.

And the heat is true, wool works cooler than foam, but i see more cut with foam than wool.

A wool pad is maximum cut and is used with a rotary and will leave buffer marks. That's why they came out with foam pads . Usually you use a foam pad after a wool pad to remove the buffer marks.
