3-4 weeks ago, I was supposed to give it the full 5-step detailing job but had to abort due to low temperature. I just washed and waxed with Cleaner Wax. The car surface came out to be so bright and smooth that I may not even clay anytime soon.
Waxing once a month here where I live seems necessary, even with the good spray waxes or instant detailers. So for me (maybe we're all guilty of this), we can never wax are cars too often... Meaning, even if our cars still look real shiny and slick, I still wax whenever I feel I need to wax, not necessarily when the car needs it..

Admittedly, I do not wax as ofter as I should or like, nor do I possess the means to spend a weekend doing a proper 5 step process. I do not own a house/garage with the ability to do, say, wash/paint clean/polish on one day, and then do final wax/sealant and other prep work on the last day. I enjoy the hobby, but limited means and time get in the way. I try to make things as simple as possible. I love the UQW and UQD. My Sentra's paint needs to be cleaned, but weather has not been conducive. I did, however use a spray glaze on Sunday and it came out looking real sharp! Glad I did too, because with today's rain it was nice to see water beaded up on the car.

I do not want to waste products and maybe I am getting lazy!
I found my car to be nice and shiny simply using UQW between the monthly waxes.

To give you all an update. For the first time ever, I learned how to use a clay bar. Walmart had a kit for around $17 and I bought it last night. Today, I washed the car, and clayed the trunk, hood and roof (limited time). I was getting so used to the ease of using the clay I also decided to do my headlamps, fogs, front fender/grille and my license plates. What a noticeable difference! I wish I had done claying YEARS ago! I used 1/4 of the one clay bar and kept kneading it as it became dirty, but it never got to a point where it became excessively dirty and I still have the 1/4 piece I used. I topped off the whole car with Zymol Spray Glaze (trying to use up some of my stock). I could not believe the difference in texture between the non clayed paint vs. the clayed portions. My mother even described it as "satin."

The unfortunate part, is that it did not remove what I believe to be rail dust. Only after I put in some elbow grease on some spots did it come out. I am not too sure about trying TRIX or some other products I have read about on here. So, should I:
          -Try a stronger clay? Or:
          -Use the White Wax?

I do not own a buffer and all work is done by hand. Any suggestions are appreciated. Also, is there anything on a car that you should NOT clay? Thanks!

            Nice one!

I'd try using a more agressive clay for the rail dust. Just be aware that a more agressive clay may also marr your paint.

About the only things I wouldn't clay are textured plastic and rubber.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

If you do consider using a more aggressive clay bar, you may just want fo use it on specific areas instead of the entire car and if after using the more aggressive clay leaves marrs, you can just use a paint cleaner to bring back the gloss. I'd go for SwirlX first, 2-3 passes with a bit of elbow grease. I'd move up to ScratchX 2.0 of the the marrs weren'r successfully removed. Then rewax the entire car
