  • Need some advice

I own a black metallic Audi A4, and you can see microscratches all over it. I'm not very informed on detailing so I was wondering you guys could help.

    1. What is the DA MF system?
    2. What product of Meguiars do you suggest I buy?
    3. Where can I buy?

    Thanks

    1. The DA MF system is a microfiber system of pads / liquids to suit a DA machine polisher. If you don't have a DA, then it's no use getting it. It's made for more severe defects anyway, so may not be suitable for you.

    2. Can you afford a DA? You'll get better results in less time if you can. And unlike a rotary machine, they're safe for novices. Either way, there are many Megs products to choose from depending on your car's condition, how your paint responds, what you're trying to achieve and how much time/money you want to spend. A starting point might be something like:

    i) Wash - Gold Class
ii) Clay - Smooth Surface Clay Kit
    iii) Compound - Ultimate Compound
    iv) Polish - Ultimate Polish
    v) Wax - Ultimate Wax

    3. Not sure where to buy in your part of the world, but there are many online vendors. I'd personally recommend Autogeek.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Davey explained what the DAMF is.

Wash, Clay, DAMF system using the D300 Correction Compund followed by the D301 Finishing Wax. Best system out there for your particular need.
