We recently purchased a 2013 Sierra. It was a demo vehicle so has been used a bit before we bought it. It does have light swirl marks in it and 2 scuff marks that I have found. I bought a Meguiar's kit on-line and it comes with the compund but not SwirlX. My question is, could I use the compund instead of SwirlX and be safe? I want to do the 5 step and use the DA PowerSystem Tool on every step after the clay bar.

As i have read here people use often ultimate compound than swirlx, you use polish pad to remove light- medium defects.
But as most people here say, use less to most aggresive, so do a test spot and see what it wirks for you.
I would use UC and UP combo if i hsd it. But i use must the pro line.

Re: Ultimate Compound or SwirlX
It is good to have both SwirlX and UC, start with SwirlX as this is the least abrasive product, if this doesn't help, go for UC. Hand job may need more muscles. If you are using DA, overlapping the affected area will make it gone.

Re: Ultimate Compound or SwirlX
I am changing my mind and will be getting a polisher. Debating on which to get, the DA or g110v2. I was looking at the swirls again and they don't seem to be too bad so maybe the swirlx will be my first to start with.
