  • Ultimate protectant on tires

Today for the first time I used ultimate protectant on my tires & I have to say it looks pretty similar to endurance gel. I was wondering if anyone has any experience doing the same & can attest to longevity and or ability to repel water/ dirt etc. Compared to a dedicated tire dressing. All comments and feedback welcome thanks in advance

Ultimate Protectant should dry virtually dry to the touch, assuming the sidewall was given a good cleaning before application. Because of this it shouldn't attract dust (or at least a very minimal amount) and durability should be quite good.

Do you have a pic of your tires wearing UP? I'm interested to see how they look.

I haven't tried that yet. But if you want to keep your wheel wells easier to clean some people have been using WD -40 on them.

I will have to take one nxt time as it has rained for 3 days straight &I commute on the interstate. So I can now vouch for durability it is excellent but it doesn't look like when I applied it. As for looks pretty much exactly like endurance gel.

I will post some pics tomorrow. My tyres have been going for the past 2 weeks with only ultimate protectant and they look good still. Best part is they have not got gunky like tyre gel does.

I did my research on UP 1-2 years ago and and I remember I did read that UP was not recommended for tires.

                    Anything changed?

Here is the pic I promised. Did this on my phone so sorry about any size issues.

Anyways the tires in this picture have had ultimate protectant for 2 weeks and went through 2 days of light rain. As you can see the shine has held up great.

P.S. The wheels where cleaned up for the pic with UWWA.

^^ That looks great. I didn't think UP would hold up so well on tires.

                          Thanks for sharing!

I just tried it myself. Bottle does say dashboard, trim and tires.

Cleaned with Simple Green first. It's not super shiny but makes a nice almost natural new look.

Just curious, how many coats of Ultimate Protectant did you use? I put 2 coats with 15 minutes in between using a yellow foam applicator pad. You seem so have got more of the matte finish I was looking for.
