clay bar before using swirl x ???

  • clay bar before using swirl x ???

    iv looked around the board but i couldnt find an answer

    i have some swirls in my paint
    so i was going to use swirl x or u/c
    does anyone know if its necessary to use a claybar before
    or just go right to the swirl x??

    Yes. Its always better to clay ur car before swirl x. This is to be sure that ur car is free of contaminents that might ruin ur car paint when usiny swirl x

                i borrowed my brothers d/a
                but then decided to just do it by hand
                it took some elbow grease , but i got 95% of the swirls on the hood gone
                now if it ever stops raining ill do the rest of the truck
                only real trouble spot is the tailgate.it has tons of swirls
                the rest of the body just needs some tar removal, and a claybar

                        Yeah, I have one of each (one silver, one black) and the difference in maintenance is huge. Black is hard work, but so rewarding
