  • Brinkman Maxfire battery life

Recently got a swirl finding light and it does show imperfections. after a full charge I get about 2 minutes of continuous bright light, then it fades.

After letting it rest for a few minutes the light is restored to near full brightness but fades even quicker.

Is this normal? this is my first Brinkman.

That doesn't sound normal at all. Once fully charged it should keep the bulbs lit until the batteries die. While most detailers don't leave the lights on for extended periods of time since they're usually doing quick checks on the paint, I've actually used mine while walking my dogs after dark, and that means leaving the light on for many minutes at a time. Never had the light output fade until the batteries were dying. Talk to the retailer you purchased it from (hopefully you still have the receipt) and ask for a replacement.
