    Of course.

Just make sure you at least wash it first. Claying first would also be preferable, as would some sort of compound / polish if you have any paint defects.

A traditional paste wax or liquid wax (such as Ultimate Wax) would also last longer and provide more protection.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I would definitely wash before UQW.
I use clay only when I do full detailing (5-step) once or twice a year. In my opinion, it will be a waste of product not to at least wax after clay.

wash, clay, wax. do it all the time. but you need to clay first. with the clay you spray quick detailer on a section, rub the clay in a sweeping motion, not a circle, until the area is smooth and the contaminates are gone, then wipe off qd. kneed the clay to bury the contaminates you just picked up. then repeat. the whole car should take 20-30 mins at the most.

When my father bought his last newish Ford Falcon XR6, he asked a guy who works in his local automotive supplier what he should use to 'wax' his car with, and the guy sold him a spray wax (not Meguiars, but a cheaper 'local store' brand) ... From what I can tell, on a new car, it is better than nothing, visually at least..

I have since bought him the Megs 'New Car Kit' in the hopes of educating him how to get the most of a new clear coat (I think he is still stuck in an era of rubbing compounds and rubbing polish in a tin), but I suspect he's never used it... I think foam pads and microfiber cloths might be a bit too fancy for him, lol...

Re: Can i apply Ultimate Quick Wax directly into my paint ?

I own my current car for 8 years now and the car is in excellent condition. It has been maintained by Meguiars products since new. Many people think it's a 1-2 years car.

After 3 years of ownership, I clayed the car and it took me more than an hour. There was a lot of resistance when sliding the clay bar against the paint. I clayed again after 6 months and it was very easy and fast, 20 minutes top. Maybe because of the local environments, I found it to be suffice if I clay every 8-12 months. The way I tell is to run my hand against the car surface after a wash. If it's very smooth, no need to clay.

BTW. I use only half a clay bar everytime I clay.

Re: Can i apply Ultimate Quick Wax directly into my paint ?

If the car is in good condition, the clay could last 4-5 times or more. Assuming you don't drop it or anything.

The QD may last 2 times, or 1.5.

If the car is older, or in worse shape, etc.. hard to say. Going to be a bit less, cant say how much.

What? You can reuse clay bars?

Yeah, if the clay doesn't get too dirty, and you can still fold/knead to get clean clay with no particles showing up.

if your paint is really bad (lots of swirls) then skip the clay and go ahead straight to the ultimate compound. then wax it with nxt 2.0. after that follow every wash with quick wax, and keep a bottle of quick detailer in the car.

My car needs clay only once or twice a year. Not sure if I would keep the clay bar for a few months.

Yep, as long as you keep them in a sealed bag or container, clay bars will keep. I've had some for 2-3 years now and just used it the other week and it was fine.

You still want to clay before using UC or similar. Clay removes the above-surface stuff, whereas a compound like UC does below-surface. Polishing/compounding is more effective if you clay first, plus it's safer because you reduce the chance or rubbing all that above-surface grit into your paintwork.
