How can I remove everything... it?
I have Gold Class as well as NXT Tech Wax on the cars finish but I want to remove swirls so would a cleaner like Deep Crystal or ScratchX remove it so I can get right down to the clear coat?

Some of your posts seem redundant. I think Mike answered this question in your previous post.

I think I may have misinterpreted this post, sorry. If you are asking if dc 1 and scratch x will remove your previous application of nxt, the answer is yes. If scratchx is strong enough to remove the swirls then it is definitely strong enough to remove the wax.

Yes, Meguiar's paint cleaners will return your finish to a clean base to start with. This is the proper way to clean the finish, not wash with dish soap or wipe with a solvent cleaner.

          Alright...
Tommorow I'm going to go ahead and use the Paint Cleaner twice... Then ScratchX twice followed by ColorX and Deep Crystal Polish both twice as well as I want these swirls out.. I'll put on Gold Class then Tech Wax.

          Thanks

Scratchx is considered to be a paint cleaner. Are you going to use Scratchx on the entire truck? Also, Colorx is a 3 in 1 product (cleaner, polish, wax). I like ColorX because it seems like the cleaning ability is better than DC1. If you do the steps you suggest, it will be a very long day for you. I would probably just thow in claying the truck and throw out a few of your steps. Gold Class is also a polish/wax combo. When I detailed my truck, I did these steps by hand.

            Wash
            clay
            scratchx (on isolated spots)
            DC1
            DC2
            NXT X 2

I came out with good results, but the next time I will use Colorx instead of deep crystal. Make sure you post pics after the work.

              Just to chime in...

If you do a good job with ScratchX, you shouldn't need any other paint cleaner. The idea behind removing swirls and scratches with ScratchX is to work a small area, about a foot squared or smaller depending on how bad the swirls are and how hard the paint is.

Apply and work against the finish until it turns clear, (it will make a white film on the car when you first apply it and start working it), as you work it against the finish with some passion, it will begin to turn clear and disappear. Don't work it until it's all gone as at that point you increase friction and you could start instilling scratches, work until it's almost gone then stop and wipe off excess.

For bad swirls, apply to same area 2-3 applications, working each one against the finish the same way as described above. Remove each application after working it as their is no benefit to the paint if you let it dry.

Then when you've worked the entire car, move on to the polishing step. Apply the polish to section at a time and the remove, you don't need to allow a polish to dry as there is no benefit to the paint after you have worked it in.

After applying and removing the polish, apply two thin coats of wax, I would go with the NXT Tech Wax. Allow each coat to fully dry before removing.
