  • My paint is bubbling on one of my doors, waxing method?

Due to my car having been in an accident, i repainted a door of mine.
Looked good. But now due to harsch temperatures and weather, as well as the aging of time,
the door has a bit of bubbling which doesn't bother me that much as it is very small.

However, I know if I touch that area too much, it might "crack".

So I am very careful about my washing techniques.
More than likely I won't be claying, paint cleaning that area.

However, I would like to know what kind of wax I can use?
I was looking into the spray wax like Ultimate Quik Wax, or any of the Spray waxes.
Do they work like normal waxes?

I stayed away from the quik wax products is because I thought they were just another form of Quick Detailer product, with very little wax within it..

The Ultimate Quick Wax is actually a pretty good wax. Most people use it between regular paste/liquid waxings to help boost the existing wax. It is a spray on, wipe off product so you would still have to touch your bubbled up area. It won't last quite as long as a traditional wax job will but something is better than nothing. Not a quick Detailer at all since you would use one of those to remove light dust from the day without having to actually wash your car. It is nothing that you would let haze up like a traditional wax, just spray on and wipe off. Nothing to it!

Yes, i realize i still have to wipe it off.
However, I can at least minimize the wiping because with the nomral wax, I would have to use an applicator to spread the product around as well as wipe off, which requires 2 wiping steps.

I figured if I can get away with the Quik Wax spray I can just spray on, and wipe very stoftly with very little pressure and friction on the paint.

But then again, if I use the minimal pressure/friction application method, I would think I should just use the Liquid Wax over the Quik wax.

Which would you recommend my door ? NXT liquid, Gold Class Liquid, Ultimate Liquid?
I currently use the NXT 2.0 Tech paste, which i'm about to run out soon. I am plannin on switching over to liquid wax after this paste is done.

I'd do the liquid wax first then follow up with a spray as needed, usually after regular washings. The spray wax really isnt meant to be a replacement for traditional waxing, just a booster in between to help it last a little longer. Ultimate liquid is a lot of people's wax of choice, mine included. It lasts a long time and is easy to apply. I really can't say which is "the best" as some things are up to your personal taste. If you like the NXT paste, go ahead and give the liquid a try.

Really don't need to press too hard to wax.
