I had to use every last bit of QD to clay my car.. do you think i used to much? I might have been overly concerned about scratching the car, was my first time so I wanted to be safe.
I forget offhand, but the spray bottle in the kit may be a little smaller than the regular bottles.
Using too much wont hurt, but a full bottle on one car (that is in decent shape) probably was a bit more than you needed.
If your weather is cool, and dont have hard water, you may be able to clay while the car is wet, which also saves some QD. But with the clay being able to be re-used if it is clean, you'll almost always run out of QD first, while the clay can last a good while.
depends on the size of the car and the amount of claying needed. But I am right there with you. Just did a Lexus SUV and pretty much emptied a single bottle on it. But it was in serious need of claying. Every panel was filthy, plus visible overspray, paint shined 1000x brighter with all this removed. I am sure I could have used slightly less product, but wanted to keep things gliding. I have previously put too little of spray. The clay comes to a sudden halt, fingers/palm continue, clay hits ground, clay folded and reused on car...just kidding clay thrown away. Mass purchased detail spray is cheaper than clay for my pocket.
Last Touch is amazing for many reasons, will second Murr on that. Even if you just work on your own car and think you won;t use that much, Last Touch is wise to own in the long run.
When i first use the clay kit, I used up 95% of the bottle too....rookie mistake i guess.
When I clay my vehicles now, I usually grab my ONR, though I have a gallon of LT.

yeah .. to do the roof I had to put some water in the QD squirt bottle, shake it up and use that. I think next time I'll reuse the bottle with some soapy water.
I've clayed thousands of cars with soapy water and the clay doesn't degrade any more then if I used something else. I'd through the clay away due to it being to dirty, before it had a chance to degrade. There is no problem in using soapy water. and it only costs penny's.
